Ethics?  Appeals?  There’s ethical pitfalls in appellate work?  Well, yes there is and Elwood Earl “Sandy” Sanders, former Appellate Defender and Appellate Procedure Consultant at Lantagne Legal Printing, will speak on a number of ethical issues in state appellate work.  Approved for 1.0 hours CLE in ethics by the VSB.

Attendance is free, and boxed lunches are available for $10. If you plan to attend, please e-mail Patty Dart (dartlawpc@gmail.com) and let her know if you want a lunch.

If you’re planning to attend the golf tournament and/or the picnic afterwards, RSVP to Patty Dart at dartlawpc@gmail.com by September 6, 2019. We invite you to attend the picnic even if you don’t want to golf, but please let Patty know if you plan to attend so we can get an accurate head count.

Date is Friday, October 11th at Kiskiack, with a 1:00 shotgun start.

Golf is $30 per player which covers greens fee, golf cart, and drinks from the beer cart on the course. When you e-mail Patty, please let her know if you’d like to play with any specific teammates. If you don’t have a foursome, that’s no problem; we’ll assign you a team and you’ll be able to meet some new people.

The picnic will follow the golf tournament and will start at approximately 5:00-5:30. There’s no charge for the picnic for golfers or WBA members.

Brian Gillette will be presenting on the HITECH Act (the law regulating   production of electronic health records).
