FYI, there is an upcoming Inaugural Fourth Circuit Asylum Law Conference next Friday, March 11th. The Conference has been approved for 6.5 hours of Virginia and North Carolina CLE credit. The Conference will be helpful for attorneys who are new to taking pro bono asylum cases, and those who have taken pro bono cases in the past. Debi Austin has advised that the last day of court for 2021 will be December 22; accordingly, all orders, divorce decrees, etc. for entry before the end of the year must be in the Clerk’s Office by 12:00 noon, December 8.

The Virginia Poverty Law Center is offering a free CLE opportunity and has made an appeal for pro bono assistance to help those who are facing eviction. The free CLE online training in eviction defense law is scheduled for October 26, 12:00-1:30pm.
